Moose & Stella’s Cafe was built from a love of great food. It grew from a passion for community and, above all, a fondness for furry friends. Named after Moose, the hunting Brittany Spaniel, and Stella, the fashion-forward Yorkie, the cafe beautifully celebrates both personalities. Together, they inspired a menu just as vibrant and full of character.

Meet Moose & Stella

Meet Moose – the beloved bird-hunting Brittney Spaniel, and Stella – the classy Yorkie ahead of her time, both in fashion and style. The Moose and Stella themed cafe in Kalkaska is a representation of these two animal spirits – outdoorsy wild breakfast skillets, burgers, and coney dogs, combined with fresh green salads, gourmet style french toast, and panini sandwiches with delicate details that are not just appealing to the eye, but to your taste as well.

Meet Their Owners

Moose and Stella’s parents, Dan Bloomquist and Eva Marie, are the owners and operators of five restaurants in the Northern Michigan Area. Their love of animals led them to create this dog-themed cafe. While it is debatable who is the top dog at home, the quality of food, dedication to their community, and the inviting atmosphere of their restaurants have never been in question.
